Quick Life Update and Announcement

It’s been almost 3 months since my last post, and to say I think about writing an explanation post every day, would be an understatement. For a while, it was because I wasn’t creating anything new in the kitchen so I was discouraged when it came to posting recipes. Then, my business as a freelance graphic designer (Design Sprout), started to take up more and more of my time – so much so that even if I HAD creative kitchen ideas to share, it wouldn’t matter because I don’t have time to post them!

The blog came up for renewal at the end of June, and I almost didn’t renew it. To be completely honest, I only renewed it for 3 months. I’m not sure what the next steps are for Zucchini Runner blog, but if you have any favorite recipes on here I highly recommend you copy them or save them or print them out. I know we are doing that on our end!

This blog has served me well. It has been my outlet for cooking, nutrition and running; but I’m not sure it’s serving me anymore. When something becomes a stress and not a joy (particulary when it is an entirely optional endeavor) it is time to reevaluate its purpose and your commitment level. I’m a firm believer in focusing on the things that bring you happiness and joy. We only get ONE chance at this existence we call LIFE, so you better believe I’m going to make the most of it while I can.

I’ve hesitated for so long to post this, because I didn’t want to be the gal who cried wolf, and then take it all back. But nothing has changed for me over the past 2.5 months, so I’m fairly confident that the blog will be dissolved in the near future. Who knows, maybe it will take a new direction and carry on. I just wanted to give my readers a heads up sooner, rather than later if I don’t renew it.

I SO appreciate everyone who has supported my blogging journey over the years. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sincerely,

Corine

I really enjoy what you write Corine and all the recipes you share. However, I understand about passions and joy and despite what anyone else wants, it has to be what YOU want. So if your passion is lost and the blog isn’t serving you well, then follow your heart, step away and find your next passion. As your friend, I will support whatever your decision is, as long as it makes YOU happy. I know you will still be there as a friend and available for any advice we may request from you.
    Live your passions, always!
    Hugs, Teresa
